Where does the iPoster Player device live after installation?
The iPoster Player is usually, but not always installed in your server rack to keep it out of harms way, away from night cleaner vacuums and staff who may accidentally turn it off.
How do I run wiring from the screens to the iPoster player?
There are 2 ways, first is to run a VGA cable, second is to run video over Cat5 cable. Each method has its advantages, please contact us and we can help you decide. 800-724-8947.
How fast can K&D create custom content for me?
Custom content can be pushed through in as little as 24 hours but we prefer to take a little more time for proofing and adding the perfect final touches.
With all the do it yourself systems available, why should I consider K&D to provide managed services?
The “Why K&D” page on our web site answers this question nicely. Also keep in mind that your monthly fee covers all managed services with the exception of new content design and complicated programming. In short, you only pay extra if you ask for extra help.
How much does it cost to run local news or RSS feeds?
There is no extra cost to run these feeds because K&D does not own the content of these feeds and it would be wrong, or probably illegal to charge you for someone else’s content. Creating custom feed backgrounds or programming any parsing rules in your files is charged at your hourly rate.
What kind of file formats can I play on my iPosters?
SWF, MOV, MPG, JPG, FLV
What if I want to manage my own content and sometimes use K&D for support?
You will be given a private, secure login for the online playlist manager and have full control of all of your content. If or when you need help just give us a call.
How long can my content loop be and how much does it cost for a longer loop?
Your loop can be as long as you need, we have never seen a loop that is too long to play on our system. There is no charge for your file storage so go ahead and fill up our server, we will make more space.
How many televisions can be connected to an iPoster Player?
You can connect unlimited televisions to your iPoster system by adding more splitters. There is no charge for adding more televisions.
How many separate streams, or channels can the iPoster Player transmit to the screens?
You can have up to 3 separate channels of content on 3 separate screens. Each channel can be split onto any number of screens. One client has 5 poster replacement screens on 1 channel.
What is a Digital Screen Campaign Planogram?
If your playlist is getting too large to handle in your spare time, a Planogram document can assign responsibilities to your team, and our team, so that each scene has a plan, a change cycle and an owner. The end result is nearly-automatic fresh content that is relevant, useful and engaging. See a blank Planogram.
Where is the best place to put my screens?
The most popular location is behind the teller line as that is where your customers stand the longest in your branch. Some branches don’t have teller lines or want to put screens elsewhere. The next best place is to install the screen or screens is where they will mesh with your branding strategy. What do we mean by this? Your screens will be most effective if incorporated into some element of your branch design. A few vinyl graphics around the screen, a label or an LCD surround can make your screens work even harder because they will get noticed more. We can recommend a few reasonably priced consultants that can review your branch layouts, recommend the best locations and a give you a few tips to help your screens work harder. If you choose K&D to install and manage your screens, we will refund any reasonable consultant fee. Please give us a call 800-724-8947.
Can you put my Twitter or Facebook feed on my screens?
Yes.
Can my screens turn off at night?
Absolutely, in fact doing this makes your screens last longer and saves energy and money.
What happens if my iPoster Player stops working and needs service?
If your iPoster Player cannot be fixed onsite, we have a spare iPoster Player pre-programmed with your settings and it will ship within 24 hours so your screens go back online quickly. After the spare is running, we will fix your original iPoster Player, usually at no extra cost. The goal is to get your screens back online very quickly to minimize dark screens that don’t reflect well on your brand.
Can you create a nice looking template that my admin can update easily? (rates, branch events)
Yes any person with the correct login and a web browser can update your on screen data.
When will I be getting an invoice?
Invoices are generated quarterly for all services purchased. A detailed statement will outline each dollar spent. All costs will be assigned to your cost center numbers for easier processing.
