1. “Server Rack” iPoster Media Player
- Advantages:
- Easiest location to service, reboot, upgrade
- Most computer friendly location, cooled, network jacks, power protected, etc.
- 2 channels available for rate boards, employee screens, etc.
- Easy to remotely upgrade to accept new media and feed types
- Disadvantage:
- Requires long distance video signaling to each screen
2. “Behind the Set” iPoster media player.
- Advantages:
- Allows TV and iPoster Media Player to be located together
- Replaceable as it is separate from the screen
- Requires only power and network at primary screen
- Easy to remotely upgrade to accept new media and feed types
- Disadvantage:
- If screen is up high, you will need ladder to service, or screen may need to be removed
- Each screen in branch requires media player or a split signal from primary player
3. “Screen Embedded” iPoster media player.
- Advantages:
- Screen and media player are a single unit
- Requires only power and network at each screen
- Large rollouts are simplified
- Disadvantages:
- If media player requires service, entire screen needs to be shipped back
- Every screen requires a media player license
- Media & feed types limited, future feature upgrades limited
